2013 Scholarship Awards
The SUHI Foundation, once again, figured prominently in the scholarship awards ceremony held on May 17th in the new theatre on campus at Sweetwater High School. With educators, Sweetwater alumni, parents and students present, a record number of scholarship awards were handed out. After opening remarks by Principal Roman del Rosario and Counselor Kevin Smith, the ceremony got underway. The SUHI Foundation awarded 9 scholarships again this year totaling $77,000 over the next 4 years.
The 9 recipients were chosen from over 150 applicants. Awards were granted to the following graduates: Ashley Perez, Luis Venegas, Ronnel Jamir, Alvin Balmeo, Leemay Avila, Dalia Rojas, Christianne Samson, Jennifer Aguilar, Cristrina Carrillo and Mark Yabut. Congratulations to our new class of scholarship recipients. We hope to continue to add to our list of scholarships each year.
